Why not just share my Google Drive link directly?

When you share a Google Drive folder directly, guests are required to log into their Google accounts to upload photos. Many guests don't have Google accounts or don't want to sign in. PixBearer acts as a seamless proxy, allowing anyone to upload without any login requirements.

Where are my photos stored?

All photos and videos go directly to your Google Drive folder. We don't store anything on our servers — you have complete ownership and control of your wedding memories.

How do guests upload photos?

Guests scan your QR code with their phone camera, which opens a web page in their browser. From there, they can either take new photos/videos with their camera or select existing ones from their gallery. The upload happens instantly with a progress indicator.

Do guests need to create accounts?

Absolutely not! Guests don't need to sign up, log in, or provide any personal information. They simply scan the QR code and can immediately start uploading. This is one of our biggest advantages over direct Google Drive sharing.

What file formats and sizes are supported?

We support all common photo formats (JPEG, PNG, HEIC) and video formats (MP4, MOV, AVI). Individual files can be up to 100MB each. Most phone photos and videos upload without any issues, and we automatically optimize them for Google Drive storage.
